I went to Wal-mart today to pick up some "back to work" clothes since I will be heading back on Jan 5.  I have a lot of tops, but my pants supply is non-existent in terms of suitable pants that won't fall down.  I left work in a loose 24 pant.  I bought a pair of size 18 dress pants and size 1X (16W) twill pants.  I kept having to go back and get smaller and smaller pants.  the ones i bought are slightly snug, but who cares?!, they'll be fine next week!  holy moly!

Wow!  Sue you are doing fantastic!  Isn't it wonderful!   I know we're still in the "honeymoon" stage,  but it is quite amazing!

Hey Sue:

Don't forget to shop the second hand stores. I shop St Vincent de Paul in Framingham. There must be one near you up north.

I mean to say they do have wonderful clothes some look unused as if they were donated by a company.

That's terrific Sue!! It is so exciting to find things are too big instead of trying to find anything that fits :)  I am limiting myself to 2 pair of pants at a time that fit.... it is difficult. I think I am going to become a shopping addict!

YOU GO GIRL. I HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE TODAY WITH SHOPPING @ "ASHLEY STEWART". WAS AFRAID TO TRY ON THE 18, BECAUSE I WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT THE SIZE 20 AND 22  THAT I WAS TRYING ON. I WILL GIVE IT A COUPLE OF WEEKS BEFORE I GO FOR THAT 18. CONGRATS AND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

Sue,

You are doing great! I have been going through a size a month! I am wearing jeans again - not mommy jeans! I found some a Kmart for $15.

I still think we need to talk to some consignment shops to start specializing in larger sizes and offer them a ready market for these clothes with grateful customers.
